Vintage Mohair Oversize Coat from French Textile Workshop

Rare vintage room from the former sampling rangers from a textile factory of Saint-Aubin-du-Cormier, Brittany.

This long crossed coat reflects a customer know-how, inherited French workshops for the 80s / 80 years.

Its ample and structured cut offers a very current timeless silhouette: slightly marked shoulders, fallen fluid, elegant length and classic double-buttoning. A coin originally thought for professional presentations and showroom collections, which explains the visible quality of the finishes and materials used.

The outer fabric has a beautiful soft and slightly fluffy texture thanks to its mohair and wool-rich blend:

• 30% wool
• 25% Mohair
• 35% viscose
• 10% polyamide

The satin jacquard inner lining, composed of viscose and acetate, brings comfort, fluidity and elegance. The presence of the collar suspension metal chain recalls the finishes of the high-end clothing coats of the time.

This piece is not only a vintage garment: it also has an industrial and human memory related to the Breton textile history. Stored after closing the workshop, this coat comes directly from the sampling collections used by the plant.

A strong room, easy to wear today with a minimalist silhouette, tailoring and oversize in the world of contemporary vintage.
