This disc entitled Birds is a British private pressingproduced by Sound News Productions (SNP), London, a label specialising in recordings not intended for public sale. The explicit mention -Not for general sale – Private issue on the label confirms its status: it is a vinyl made for a limited circle, probably a religious or educational institution, and distributed only internally.

The registration has a church music selection, interpreted by children of the Birds, Westgate-on-Seaaccompanied to the organ, with religious direction and guidance. This type of production, typical of 1950-1960s, was pressed in very limited quantities, often only a few tens or hundreds of copies, which explains their extreme rarity today.

The format is particularly sought out:
331⁄3 turns – 10 inches (25 cm), a format that is much less common than the 33 standard 12-turns, much appreciated by collectors for its atypical character.
