Published in 1985 by EMI / Voice of His Master – Pathé Marconi, this French pressing benefits from the technology Direct Metal Mastering (DMM), recognized for its precise, dynamic and very silent sound restitution.
The violinist Augustin Dumay, major figure of the Franco-Belgian school, is here accompanied by theMonte Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra, under the direction of the Great Manuel Rosenthal. The program honours the most beautiful pages of the French violin repertoire, with iconic works such as Gypsy Ravel, the Thai Meditation Massenet, the Poem of Chausson or Dream and Caprice Berlioz. A coherent ensemble, lyrical and virtuoso, highly sought after by violin lovers.
This minor internal defect does not alter the general presentation or musical value of the object, and remains entirely acceptable for a collection record of nearly 40 years.
Made of France, this original EMI vinyl is ideal for both audiophile listening and to enrich a collection dedicated to the violin, the French repertoire or the great performances of the twentieth century.
