Founded in the 1920s, Scheurich is one of Germany's most iconic ceramic manufacturers. Recognized worldwide for its decorative pieces with modernist design, the company experienced a major boom in the 1950s to 1970s, when it produced many models that are now real collectibles.
This 701 model is a perfect example: a head dummy in enamelled ceramics, with a stylish design evoking the 1930s, very popular in aesthetics and modernism. The face has sharp features, a bright red mouth and an elegant golden mask around the eyes.
Authentic : relief marking
Dimensions : height ~31 cm, width ~21 cm.
Colors : cream, red, black and golden.
State : good general condition, small wear of the gilding in one eye (visible on photo), no structural cracks — only one end crackle of glaze by location, typical of material and age.
This head can be used as decorative object, jewelry display, wigs, hats or simply as a master piece in vintage or contemporary decor.
