Paper Number 10 of the Alfred Hitchcock collection published by Editions Atlas. Young and Innocent:

Jeune et Innoncent pat Hitchcock

In this British police thriller of Alfred Hitchcock, a young man, Robert Tisdall, discovers the body of an actress on a beach and quickly becomes the main suspect of the murder. Although innocent, he is stopped, but manages to escape.

He was soon joined in his run by Erica Burgoyne, the daughter of the commissioner responsible for the investigation. Together, they try to gather the necessary evidence to identify the real murderer and launder Robert, while escaping the police who are tracking them.

With "Young and Innocent"Hitchcock already plays with the themes that will make his mark: the innocent on the run, the rising tension, and the love emerging in an extreme situation. A dynamic and intelligent suspense, punctuated by a famous final travelling scene, considered a technical trick.

Analysis:

"Young and Innocent" prefigures the great Hollywood classics of Hitchcock, as Death in Kits. He explores the motive of the innocent caught in a police machination, aided by a strong and committed woman. The visual, dynamic and inventive style makes the film an essential milestone in the British period of the master. Far from being a simple learning film, it already bears the signature of a genius filmmaker.

A richly illustrated magazine, ideal for movie lovers, Hitchcock fans or vintage movie press fans. In very good condition.
