This long-term asymmetric skirt perfectly illustrates the minimalist avant-garde aesthetic of the late 1990s and the early 2000s. The construction reveals a real work of cutting and material, with an architectural silhouette that plays on the contrasts between frontal sobriety and volume draped on the back.
The front has a fluid and slender line in a wool, polyester and lycra mixture offering holding and structure, while the rear develops a remarkable work of fruces and superimposed panels in a more technical acetate and polyamide material. This opposition creates a sculptural fell particularly sought after in the archive universe and vintage designer.
The room evokes the aesthetic research of the experimental minimalism and the turning mode of turn y2k: mastered asymmetry, textile tensions, complex construction and unconventional silhouette. A strong skirt visually, thought more like a piece of collection and styling as as a simple garment of everyday life.
The finishes reflect a neat level of garment and a quasi-craft approach specific to certain confidential homes of this period. The design remains extremely current and integrates perfectly into a contemporary archive cloakroom with avant-garde influences, minimalists or darkwear.
