This copy of Music Book of the Claude Augépublished by the Larousse Library, belongs to the great tradition of French textbooks of the early twentieth century. Designed for the teaching of music at primary school, it brings together the basic elements of music training: theoretical notions, rhythmic exercises, songs, duos, canons, popular and military airs, all enriched by typical illustrations of the Larousse pedagogy of this period.

The book is complete and legible, the interior remained in good condition Despite the years. As with many of the textbooks which are highly manipulated by students, the coverage was severely degraded : gaps, tears and marked wear. This particularity does not detract from the documentary interest of the work, which remains a authentic testimony of musical teaching in the past.
